Saturday last, we had to move from T.T. Cultus Lake for our week out of the Thousand Trails System. We had booked a weeks stay about 17 miles away on Hwy 1, at Royalwood Golf and RV resort. Its a little like a parking lot at first glance, but we have been here 3 nights now, and find that it kinda grows on you. We have a great free Wi Fi signal, a huge amount of cable TV channels, and 50 amp electric, all for $165 a week. Not bad. Saturday night, Chris and Mark came to see us, and together we went to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory in Abbottsford. Not a bad deal, spag dinner, desert and coffee all for less than $30 for two. A good meal too.
Sunday we had a lazy day at Royalwood, until about 4.30, when we left to go back to Cultus Lake, where we had a farewell dinner/BBQ with Mark and Chris. We then had a game of canasta, with the boys finally getting back to winning ways. We lost, I think, the previous 4 games on the bounce. Mark and Chris left Monday morning for Penticton, BC, where they will stay with friends for a couple of days prior to their departure from Calgary for the UK, and a visit with Marks Mum in Filey, Yorkshire. Have a safe and fun trip you two. It will be a little strange being on our own again, after having them as constant traveling companions since late June. Also of course Jane has to cook every night.......
