One year in our home in Spain.

 What a great first year in our new home here in Spain. John, a very good friend & Graham our son-in-laws dad, helped us  move in. We could not have done it without them. Friends Will & Lyn came for 2 weeks at the end of January, so we made a  start on the decorating. My sister and brother-in-law came for a week the end of April, then John & Kath came again. We were blown-away when we got a call from Lee & Judy in Pennsylvania to ask if they could come for a month May/June. What fun we had and Lee did so much work for us. Val, my friend, came for 4 days while Lee & Judy were with us.

Then our son-in-law Dan's mum and aunt came for a week, Miss Molly got very spoilt. Then, at last, our girls and husbands and grandchildren came for 5 weeks (plus Graham popped  over for a week too) 12 of us in the pool was fun. Then we had another big surprise when we received an e mail from family in Alberta, Canada, asking us if they could visit for a few days in October. What a fantastic surprise,   November brought our friend John over for a week, to keep Jim company while I made my third visit since we moved here, to England, the first two to see my mum as she has been poorly and the latest one for my nephew weeding and to see mum again.     

 We feel so blessed to have such good family & friends to share our new home with us.   

Miss Molly has 11 months to wait.

I so wish I could explain to her that they will all be back next year.

5 weeks of pure happiness

We have had the best summer ever. Both our daughters and there family's came to stay for 5 weeks. Below are just a few of the photos we took.

Lee & Judy's stay with us.

The best way to tell you and let you see what a great visit we all had is for you to look at Judy's BLOG :-   http://travelswithnicky2.blogspot.com.         She sat for many hours doing her blog while we sat relaxing & watching TV at night.  Lee did numerous jobs around both inside & outside the house. So the Riley's have left there mark in more ways than one. Miss you loads, but not all that BROCCOLI   LOL XXXXX

Miss Molly has lost her good friend, and is feeling a bit sorry for herself. A day out may help, may have to get a new toy.

Cartagena with Lee & Judy

You start off going through a modern door in a city entre building, but this cannot really prepare you for what's ahead.
You travel through the museum and up a set of escalators and suddenly you're in a Roman theatre. The theatre is a mix of the original and restored pieces and gives a good indication of what the theatre was originally like.
