Sunday morning we got up at about 7.30 so we could say our good byes to Bob Julie Mark & Chris. We had all said our farewells the night before with many hugs and tears (not before we girls won the last game of canaster) This will be the last time we see these dear friends. We have been traveling with Mark & Chris for well over 6 months, so it will be very strange not seeing them again. But we do hope to see them all in England soon. Though please, people, do come, but don’t all come at once……..we sold the big house and now have a small 2 bedroom one. But there will ALWAYS be room for our friends. After we waved them off, we decided to take a drive to Mission Beach.
This is one way to carry your surf board.
This must be so hard on the legs, and looks a bit strange.
We so love the sea, BUT no shells !! BOO HOO.
After an hour on the beach we decided to drive up to La Jolla, and see if my cousin Janet was back from seeing her daughter in Texas. We were so glad to find her in, she has a beautiful home, full of treasures from all over the world. We had tea, then Janet took us out for lunch to one of her favorite Fish & Chips restaurants. To our surprise we went to Antony's, where we went just last week, and, yes the Fish & Chips are wonderful. This time though we sat in the posh restaurant, not in the self serve cafe. After a long lazy lunch, she showed us round La Jolla. It was a great visit and we talked & talked.
And yet again the sunset. Heralding the end of another wonderful day.
