Going home

Well, we are spending the last night of our holiday in Guines, Nr. Calais,  ready to get the boat to Dover in the morning. We have had a great time in Spain, and having Miss Molly with us has been so much fun.  We have made new friends which is always good, some we know we will see again and others have just popped into our lives for a short time. The weather was, obviously, so much better April/ July than last time we were there,  Sept/ March. The big plus for me was having the lighter nights to sit outside. The beaches were a lot busier, so not much metal detecting this visit. We stopped at a very nice camp site in Guignicourt, Nr. Reims. We were only going to stop one night but stayed three. We got to see the vet whilst there to sort Miss Molly’s paper work out. We were told it would cost about £60 and we would have no trouble finding a vet in Calais. But as she can have the tablet up to 5 days before crossing into the UK, we went to the small vets in Guignicourt. She was so good with Molly and the bill wasjust 18.50 euros.  No wonder there are plenty Vets in Calais. The weather has been great, maybe a little to hot for traveling. Thank goodness for A/C.

Kevin and Denise from Devon, England. Having a final lunch before their departure. They were only in Pilar for less than a week, but they managed to buy themselves a house in Comperverde in that time. Great to have met them.
