Well it looks as though the "Brits" are going back on tour. As some of you already know, we took the plunge and bought ourselves a "tag-along" caravan, or small travel trailer for our North American readers. As a result, our original plans for an extended visit to the US next year, have been put on hold.
We pick it up from the dealership tomorrow morning, (July 30th), and will take it to our storage yard, just a couple of miles away from home. Our first trip will be a short drive, about 50 miles or so, next weekend to a campground near Tewkesbury, in the Cotswold's. If everything works, then it will be back home and book our winter escape to southern Spain. I must admit it feels good to be planning a camping trip again.
Below are a few pictures of our new "home from home", taken last week after we did the "deal"
No automatic step, something we will have to get used to.
Its made of aluminium instead of the usual fibreglass.
All mod cons, just a little smaller than we are used to.
One of two spaces for the TV
Looking forward from the bedroom
Bathroom with shower cubicle on the right of picture.
This is a unique feature. The bed very simple and easily folds up when not in use, more than doubling the floorspace at the foot of the bed. Also providing a comfortable lounging area.
The lounge area, which also converts into either one double or two single beds.
Quite a change from the motor home we had in the US, but more than adequate for our needs.
